Salinity Standards
Salinity standards are formulated from sodium chloride to approximate ocean and brackish water, brine, etc., and are used in process water control and oceanography and limnology. There is often confusion about measuring salinity. Salinity is measured by conductivity with a meter calibrated with concentration standards (ppm) or parts per million, approximately equal to milligrams per liter. For example: 100 ppm Salinity Standard is 100 milligrams of sodium chloride per liter of standard.
Custom standards, at other levels. are available on request.
Accuracy as referenced to NIST Standard Reference Materials or NIST Standard Mass is ±1.0% @25°C. Traceability certificates available on request at no additional cost.
